I had the pleasure of rebuilding my newer Chevy lever style transfer case and it held up pretty well considering it sprung a leak and dumped every drop of oil. I never saw a syncronized transfer case before but I imagine it would help out the actuator motor if I had that option. Otherwise not much moves so should last ok if they have oil in them.
