Good job Jim. We’re you using one of those Harbor Freight bearing pullers. They are ok for smaller jobs, but the bigger jibe require bigger pullers. To get the seal out, some guys drill a hole on opposite sides of the seal and with sheet metal screws and a plate, set up a slide hammer and pull it out that way. I purchased a used OEM Miller seal puller C-748 on eBay. Well worth the purchase price and it will pull any old seal out of these third members no matter how long they have been in the unit. Good luck on getting yours out.
