I have done several but it is important at least to me you jack the front tires off the ground, center the steering wheel tires strait. Then adjust it a little rotate the steering wheel full right and left. Do a little more till you feel it start to get tight and back it off so there is no tightness at all. You can damage a steering box doing it on the ground and then driving to see if it is OK cause it is hard to tell if it has been tightened to much. Hard to feel this when the tires are loaded and real easy to go to far and wear it even more real fast. There is a center point that it gets tight before slop is gone on a worn or new box. Can't fix a wore out box just remove some slop. Shims and bearing can be wore out or out of adjustment too. Pull the box apart and take a look is the best way to fix it if adjustments don't solve the problem.
