2 barrel carb to a 4 barrel switch on 74

I just bought a 74 powerwagon. Its all original the only paper work that I didn`t get with it was the window sticker. It has some rust b not bad. It has some carb problems and was wondeing if I should keep the 2 barrel carb or go for the 4 barrel set up. It has a four speed tranny. I`m not trying to keep it original. Also tryng to deside if to go with a four inch or six inch lift. Have 35x12.50r15`s to go on it. Just would like some input on these before deside.
