Correct!
Chrysler's first V-8's were Hemi's. Then they evolved to the Poly's to lower their production costs. Finally they came up with the wedge, and at long last they have figured out that the Hemi is not too bad after all. Next year, Dodge Trucks will have Hemi's as the standard engine! The current NASCAR Dodge engines are Poly's.
In 1954 the 1955 Plymouth V-8 was first tested in a Dodge Truck, as the 241 Poly, then in 1955 the Poly was increased to 260, then in 1956 it was increased again to the 270. In 1957 the Poly 315 was introduced.
