Sorry, I couldn't resist. Eric is right the engines are different, as you noted the heads are way different although still scalloped. Dodge was strugling with bringing HEMI performance to the market at a wedge price. The HEMI head required two rolls of everything to clear the centered spark plug location, the Poly had the same camber design but eliminated the extra rocker shaft and reduced the size of the head by placing the spark plug back into a more conventional location. If you look at the rockers on a Poly you'll see that they are cast not stamped. They look exactly like the 426 HEMI and later Mopar Performance parts rockers. It is a treasure hunt to find 318 Poly parts, I imagine that 315 parts are a real struggle!
