An update....BEDS

I figure it's time to provide an update on what's happening with the WDX bed project: The wheel well/inner panel tooling is now more than half done - the lower, and most involved section of the die is complete now, with the far less complex upper half of the form tooling starting to be put together today. The other tools will probably be childs' play compared to this unit! My colleagues, who occasionally drop by, just shake their heads and remind me that this is really DETROIT stuff! I just respond by saying that everyone needs a challenge now and then! This is by far the biggest piece of tooling ever to be built here. Needless to say, safety is a very big issue around this little shop these days, as we were bursting at the seams even before this project was started. I just thought I'd give you folks an update, and to let you know that all is well and good on the project. It's progressing as quickly as possible, and I should be ready for die tryouts soon after the Holidays. Speaking of which, I was reminded this morning that Christmas is but ten days away, and I, like everybody else, had better take a few moments to prepare for those times, or face expulsion from the family! Thanks for being patient, and a Happy Holiday Season to all of you!
