I can assure you two gentle-men, that you have grossly overeacted to a non - threatening,joking , statement. Your over-defensive reaction was not needed as nothing was really charged against you except the fact that one was offering a excellent condition tailgate for sale on e-bay and the other was trying to help by suggesting others bid often and high.
This is not to mention the fact that it played on people, that you both have mentioned the possible notion it would be cut on or cut-up I believe was stated in one post. So whether you intentionally or unintentionally meant to do it, you were double teaming, which is not a bad thing in its self, but is rather a humorous thing to joke about when you see it done.
I hope this explanation is enough to disarm all hostile feelings and misconceptions.
