I would get the body parts, then find a PW frame and running gear that need a new body. It will be much more valuable that way and you will not destroy valuable parts that are getting more difficult to find. It will make it a lot easier to do also. I do not know how many projects that I have looked at where someone had a similar idea, but just did not have the cash or the tools or knowlege to carry it out. Often these conversions are a real mess. If you are looking for a V8 and better brakes go to Helitool who can do a lot to give you bolt on improvements to your truck. If your looking to make a daily driver then your looking in the wrong place go and find a modern truck to start with and save a lot of money.
