I'm in Evanston, which is 3 miles from Utah to the West and 20 miles from Utah to the South. I do have a country place in Green River, which is 15 miles West of Rock Springs. It does get fairly windy near the continental divide. Locals use 1/2 inch chain for wind gages. When the links start to pop off, it's time to bring the laundry in from the clothes line.
