Well up here in Wallace, Idaho it's snowing to beat the band. This fall was dry up till a week ago monday, but since then it hasn't stopped snowing for more than half a day. Got 15" in town and 7' up on the mountains. Saw a guy I know heading up in the hills with his M37 a few days ago but haven't seen him since. I assume he got back, maybe I better go by his place. He has an unrestored fire-dept truck with a slant six and what I think is an M211 cab out of Korea because it has an oval rear window. Good rust-free body including bed and tailgate. He has a 230 he's going to put in it, kind of the "reverse conversion". I don't have my M37 here, but I gave it a go with the deuce-and-a-half and didn't get 100 yards past where they quit plowing. Had chains on the front and dually chains on one rear axle and let air out of the tires. The thing's just too heavy; it insists on digging its way down to bare dirt and then trying to bull ahead through the snow. About a foot and a half of heavy snow seems to be its limit. It's winter in N Idaho, that's for sure. Just talked to somebody in Boston who said it's 70 degrees back there. Pretty wierd; I think we done broke the earth.
