Donald McCaig is an author, sheep farmer, and frequent commentator on NPR. He lives in Highland County, Virginia, near West Virginia. I first got the bug reading his book "An American Homeplace". I highly recommend it. He also has several books of fiction and non-fiction on border collies and one called "The Man Who Made The Devil Glad".
