The 251 in my '65 WM300 gets me going about 45 tops...and I have 900x16s...
Information I got to go "faster" was to get 4:88 gears and go to 11x16s...but if I go faster I should change the brakes to something safer...these trucks were not build for highway use stock...
I don't know if getting 150 hp out of the 230 will help unless you change the gears and tires...just my .02. Good luck...
