Hey Mr GMan, thanks for your response. I live on a ranch in the Rifle area. Regarding the carb, it is a 2 bbl. I think it is a BBD, and don't ask me what a BBD is because I don't know. At any rate, the wire hooks right to the area where the two adjustment screws for the idle and the other screw which I don't know what it is for. I messed up, (I think) and pulled the wire off the carb this summer when I rebuilt the carb, and I don't remember what the other end was wired to?? Now that winter is here and on cold high humidity days the carb sometimes freezes up during warm up and I'm thinking the wire that I removed has something to do with that????? Don't know???? This is on a 383 engine. Maybe it has nothing to do with that particular problem. I bought the old truck brand new in 1970, so nothing has been modified or added! HHHEEELLLPPPP!!! GO BUFFS

Thanks Bob
