Sorry about the slow response. I have been busy cleaning up my computer from the latest virus. It's clean and I'm relatively sure I caught every infected e-mail.

Yes, my wife ordered me the Tonka Christmas POWER WAGON last year from a coupon that was in a newspaper advertising insert. The price was about what Kevin said.

First Gear does production runs of the POWER WAGON and other models for various customers. The customers specify the paint colors and the graphics and SET THE PRICE. As I understand it, the basic models are all the same. This suggests the price to the customer will not vary a lot, so the selling price is whatever the customer feels it will bring. Another pricing factor generally determined by the customer is the number of any version that will be produced. This is the way the new "collectibles" are marketed.

This is certainly the case with the MOPAR DODGE POWER WAGON. The selling price is high at around $65 dollars for a model that may sell for half that with different paint. I have ordered two of the MOPAR models just to have that particular paint and graphics.

The wide range of prices is based on the collectability of the models. It is mostly the particular version of the model that you are paying for. You must decide how much you want that particular version - and how much it might be worth sometime in the future. The Tonka Christmas version may become valuable mainly because it was marketed with the Tonka name.

This is no different from the real POWER WAGON world where many speculators who have never driven a POWER WAGON up a steep hill or gotten towed out of deep mud are suddenly selling them at inflated prices.

The Dodge parts manager can order this through the DAIL System and the part number is 13311126N.

I hope Santa thinks you have all been good boys and girls and leaves you one of each available PW models.
