i use a snap on freeze out plug remover it works excellent.
drill a pin hole in plug install puller and gentley back plug out.
if there is rust around rim of plug clean this area with a wire brush makes plug comming out easier less drag.
i prefer to install brass plugs new than steel.
they contour and fit hole better and i think they last longer.
