I made the Gantry up after building the shop. just heavy box tubing with strap bridging to keep any flex to a minimum. I beam on the top. Makes lifting moving stuff a lot nicer. If I had it to do over I would put I beams on the outer edges and have a rolling crane. Didn't know about that till after I had it done. Ceiling is 14 ft so I can lift things pretty well in there.
