So far, as long as I do not drive long fast distances in the dead of summer, I have no problems. I found last year that the distributor was barely finger tight and the timing was at about 14 degrees BTDC. I always have set the timing on my other truck at TDC as the manual instructs to set at a few degrees ATDC. I set this one at about 5 degrees BTDC thinking I had found the run-hot problem. It didn't help.
