Surgery should be the last option, but if inevitable, be sure to check out the doctor's 'track record'. There are varying levels of success which I sadly believe correlate directly to $$$$ spent.
A Major League pitcher has rotator cuff surgery and he's pitching again at 95 MPH the next year. I had surgery and ended up pitching underhand to my grandsons.
I didn't write this to be negative. I wish your daughter all the best, but you have to be diligent. You have one chance to get it done right.
