I need to vent, not complain. I have been working on my truck for the past 4 years. almost ready for that 1st drive and the obtainable goal was to bring to Holister CA rally. We moved my parents into my home, s separate but attached in-law quarters. My mom has Alzheimer's and my dad had a heart valve repaired. We were ggoing to wait until my dad recovered from the valve procedure but the plumbing in the home they have been in since 1957 went kaput. We had started remodeling our home in January anticipating this move. It has been 3 weeks since we took my parents out for lunch and unbeknownst to my mom we moved half their home to out place. My mom is adjusting sort of and my dad had a mini stroke earlier this week, no observable deterioration and he is home yesterday. The past three weeks I have been making adjustments. get their TV up and running with the same remotes they used at their home, internet, pictures on walls, correct toothpaste. I am just about done and I think I can work on my vehicles in the garage which has a door to their area. My mom keeps crying and wants to go home which is "broken" My dad can't really handle my mom's moods as he had been doing (more than we ever knew). Visits in the family room at their home seldom showed the real day to day life when we were not there. I know we have absolutely done the right thing and our lives will change. My wife has been super. She and my sister took my mom to the hairdressers which she had not been to in years, Our little dog who barely tolerates me has been a super therapy dog for my mom. I love my parents as they have always been there for me and my siblings. Now it is our turn. Thanks for listening. Goal, get my truck door art done with my fathers old business.
