He has a few of the old crash boxes. But none of them have been opened up so he doesn't know what condition the internals are.

I actually didn't ask, but I got the feeling that wasn't terribly exited about going out and looking into them all for me. Not that I could blame him..

His take on it was to bolt in a M37 gearbox.
