Dodge did change the loom over the years. From the fan type to the single and later double tube type I believe. I have the fan type loom on my flathead and in 31 years of driving it, I’ve never had a problem with the loom messing up the spark plug wires. Then again, if people feel more comfortable with a newer type set up, hey “To each his own” as they say.
