Because the old loom is nasty and needs cleanup. That would burn a week at the rate I do stuff. Also its basically a tube so you can only pass bare wires through it. This means the wire is assembled in place. I don't like that. I'd like to be able to pull off any wire whenever without pulling the wire end off. I don't think the wire ends should come off once they are set. Then the loom is held on by a head bolt and I don't like having to pull head bolts if I don't have to.
I guess it boils down to.. I just don't like the durn thing! If I could open it and replace wires, it'd be different. But I can't.
So that's why.
