We have had a lot of snow for an unusually long time, starting late Oct. and recently another 2', with more forecast this weekend. And it's been way colder this month than most Februarys in the past. We had a hanging bird feeder that I assumed got blown down in. Being made of plastic, it broke, so I bought a new one and hung it up yesterday, 7' off the ground. 15 minutes after hanging it, I noticed a big doe and two yearlings had jumped the dog fence. The big doe was jumping and batting at the feeder to knock the bird seed out. I must be getting soft in my old age...a few years ago I would have a deer hanging in my wood shed. :)
