I have a 6 volt 48 CJ-2A the headlights are factory. They are really bright and im well please with them. A few things to check first, 1 do you have a good ground. 2 what is the voltage going to the headlight bulb. 3 what shape is you charging system. Its a good idea to check the amp output from your generator. Find out if its a 30 or a 60 amp generator. I have a Starter and generator man with a test bench. He always has my regulator and generator set to the top end of the spec. Works great. So if you buy some new fancy chines headlights and they done work any better, thats why. Plus the old girl dont like that offshore equipment . That stuff ant Job Rated. Good luck, enjoy.
