Finally got the truck back together about midnight last night. Had a buddy of mine, Guy, come by and help with the final push, lifting the 3rd member up into the axle housing.

The difference was amazing! Way smoother ride and, you can actually talk to one another while driving. As opposed to yelling over screaming mechanical death.

The "oil" that was originally in there, came out like black jelly. It sat in the drain pan for a day and settled into a fixed shape. I was able to take it in the living room to show Julie by holding it on end. It wouldn't pour out of the pan.
