Back in the early 2000's, I posted info on the forum regarding the Machine Shop in Florida building Swivel Frames for Florida State Conservation. What I now share is from memory of the early 2000's.
I met a guy at PW Rally (dont remember which one) we were in bunch of guys talking about Swivel Frames. This guy told us that many years ago, he worked for a machine shop in Florida welding up swivel frames for the State. He went into detail, even giving me names of the welding shop owners if I wanted more info. He then gave good directions to a
junk yard near the machine shop where some of the uncompleted or damaged swivel frames went to die. He cautioned that the frames were way in the rear of the junk yard and many rattlesnakes lived back there. Thats all I remember.
I did just now try to search for my post of years ago. I did not find it, just to many posts to read on swivel frames. So I actually talked with a welder at the Machine Shop that built swivel frames.
There is a Florida built swivel frame not far from my home which I have looked at in detail. I have also looked at other swivel frames at Rallies. Casual observation, in my opinion, the Florida built units were not as robust as the Willock units I saw at rallies.
