These days you're not going to find a salvageable Power Wagon for under 5k, and it's going to cost you another 5-10k just to get it running and stopping, with no body work in it. You could probably find a fair one for 10k but it would still need a little work (brakes) to make it safe to drive. Then you can have fun with it while decide how you want to make it your own.

M37s on the other hand cost 20-30% of what a Power Wagon will bring. They ride and steer great, are easy to drive around town, and you can pick up a good one for 5k, and one that's been totally redone for about 10k.

But if you are stuck on a Power Wagon (and who wouldn't be!) figure to spend about 12k for the truck itself. Every 1k less than that will cost you 2-3 times more to make it worth 12k. Sure, you could find a deal somewhere, but how long will it take to find it, and will you know it when you see it?

Good Luck with your search. We've all be there!
