I was about 15 when Elvis got started. There was a lot of hype toward educating kids on the dangers of marijuana and heroin. Most of the "educational" programs were rather radical. The funny thing is that Elvis looked a lot like the characters in the movies they were showing, depicting drug users. Look where it is now...hardly anything gets done without the influence of drugs....legal or illegal.
