I’m in my 70’s and have been severely smitten by the Power Wagon Flu. I’ve got a 46 WDX and a 64 WM300. So far I’ve gotten both of them pretty much disassembled. I’m hiding from winter in Arizona and plan to return to Tennessee in June where my PW’s are. My plans are to clean up the frames, add Power Steering and Brakes before I run away from winter again this year.
I’ve followed BigNgreen’s post on power Steering and now I’m questioning my Power Steering strategy. I think his set up is great but I was hoping to do BOTH vehicles for a bit over $1K.
This forum has 2 sponsors who offer PS kits for around $300 ea. A rebuilt 75 Dodge 4X4 reverse rotation steering box is about $200 if I eat the core charge. I’m expecting about another $150 for a PS pump & misc.
I’m new at this so I’m asking: Is there a reason to even look at the eBay set up?
