first truck to make it up the alcan in WW2 was a dodge 4x4. an old friends father was a surveyor when they built it and they would drive out ahead of the heavy equipment in a dodge and shoot and mark everything.
The 50th anniversary of alcan postage stamps have a carryall on them.
