I may go to the forums once a year at most. Gordon and I had a long discussion about the software he was using for the forum. If you sign up and login (members) people can see when you are on the form and track you. I asked Gordon if there was a way that I could be on the forums without people knowing. He said no. That means they know when your online and can contact you for multiple purposes. I don’t need people where I am and what I am doing period. I have nothing to hide, I like my privacy and do not need to share my information.
There is so much software on your phone and computer that track your location. They use it hit you with adverts and allowing your friends to see where you are at any time. One store around here was tracking every cell phone in their store and logging their path through the store and what display you stopped at. They then would hit you with adverts. Let’s not even talk about Facebook and the store apps that people load on their phone. So many of them track your location, activity and grab lots of information off your phone some which they have no right to. I turn off location services on my phone and do not allow any applications to share information with any other application.
