Obviously I'm at the ragged edge of a rough system. And what I'm using to check is too corse for this application. I was using my M37 as a yardstick but it has a balanced Midwest Military motor in it and I can run it 47mph all day, its really smooth. But that is 47 by its speedo. How accurate is that? Donno' never checked.
I've been doing the speed tests using an iPhone, and really, how accurate is that? Again I don't know.
It could be the case that I'm already at the design limit and can't tell.
Thought about that for a bit and came up with a simple solution. Buy a tachometer and read the RPM directly. Then I'll know if I actually have a problem or not.
I feel kinda' dumb for not thinking of this earlier, but I do have a lot of truck stuff on my mind right now.
