I wrote the information you mention quite a few years ago. If you re-read the posting, you will note that with (3) of the aftermarket
gaskets .026", my axles would not push in. They would just catch the spines and then stop. Using the proper OEM .036" gaskets, the axles went right in and I never had a issue.

Thats what I found and how I fixed the issue, its your decision if you force in the axles with the .026" gaskets or get .036" OEM originals
