I was going to install a semi-hemi in my '47 but sold the truck before I could get to it. I have two engines and the bolt in kit available. Price is negotiable. Not sure of your location.

I too don't like to hack up frames and sheet metal. This will bolt in and you could change back to a 230 as long as you keep the parts.
