I went back today and had them squirt grease in the ends 'till it came out the tops while I pulled the bottom of the tie rod back and forth. The ends are are installed inline with each other.
Added some more corn head grease to the steering box. Q&D fix to keep the leaky thing lubed for now.
Went for a couple drives and it -seems- to be getting better? I can't really tell. I can feel something like a gear binding in the wheel? Its not a smooth tight feel, its more.. Ugh! I don't have the vocabulary to describe it. Imagine the steering is tighter with the wheel at 9, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, o'clock positions and freer between. That seems like it would be the steering box binding. But we've never touched the steering box.
