I was extremely lucky in my crew. I had some of the old Bayliner tooling crew and BOY did they know their S%^*!
The marine industry attracts crazies like bees to honey. Some of the stuff we saw was just nuts! And the gossip flies like crazy!
Actually.. I enjoyed the gossip :)
One summer evening the Megayacht company down the way finally completed this custom yacht they'd been building. Trucked it to the marina, launched it, 3 decks tall, and as it slid into the water.. It slowly rolled over and sank. In the center of the marina.
There's a youtube of it somewhere. (Foud it!) Luckily it sank slow so that they were able to bash in the windows and pull out the workers that were trapped inside before it went under.
If anything went down anywhere, we'd hear about it within about three minutes.
The video takes place about 2-3 blocks behind our local grocery store.
