Again. 318/727/203 with oil bath breather
In the last month, I've (re)set the timing, built and installed exhaust from the Y back, replaced the thermostat and flushed the radiator.
This was after a carb rebuild and tune up in August.
All that's left is to rewire it. There is an intermittent short at the firewall connector.

It ran well over the holidays. Made three 250 mile round trips without a hiccup, aside from stopping to scrape ice that the defrost couldn't keep up with in the sleet. (Next time I will get a 195° thermostat..)
But now it's cutting out at 40 mph. In 2nd or 3rd gear. Cuts out till I let off the pedal a bit and runs smooth. Give it a little more pedal -41 or 42mph- and it cuts again. I can stomp it off idle and run through 1st and 2nd just fine till.. 40mph. Doesn't seem to be an rpm issue..
Could it be a fuel pressure issue? I replaced the fuel pump a few years ago..
Or cold oil in the breather? It hasn't been above 0° for a few days..
Thanks for reading this far..
