Ok, how about the dash knobs?

I have at least one, what looks original knob on the dash. Its for driving blackout light. I'd like to get the knob off the stick without breaking it. There is a tiny screw on the side of the knob. I was able to unscrew that. But now do they pull off the stick or do they unscrew?
