Not much of a hunter these days, in fact never really was, but I sure do remember those hunting trips with my dad back in the mid 70's up above Lake Berryessa near Napa, Ca. I can still smell the thick dust that would kick up hiking in the hills and hear the rain hitting on the tin roof of the open air platform camp. In the two years I went up there with my brother and dad I never get see a buck to shoot at with my Marlin 30/30, but those were sure good times.
