there was many different suspension designs they were playing with especially pre 1950. the depression forced some changes like dodge cars in I think 37 went back to leaf spring front where earlier years had already switched to coil. the cost was less and sales were low so leafs it was for a while. don't know when dodge cars went back to coil.
