I trust the opinions here.
I have a 08 ford F250.
Has the 5.4 3valve.
These are the ones with the VCT phaser's.
I was told by one guy phasers rarely go bad. Usually its the solenoids. I replaced that on the driver side.
The code said bank 2 timing was retarded.
I changed the phases and no luck.
Rough idle. No power. Don't smoke. starts right up.
Was told by ford need complete new long block.
Any help greatly appreciated.. Bill
Dodge content. If don't get fixed im looking at this..
