Many conventional Dodge trucks with tandem drive axles used an axle splitter that was very similar to the WC 6x6 transfer case except for not having an output to drive the front wheels. Some of my older service manuals show this. I cannot determine parts interchangeability but Chrysler (Dodge) did a lot of "parts box engineering" in the 30's, 40's, and 50's. They'd pick up an existing part and see if it would fit the newer truck. That's why we have so many sources for parts.
