On Wed when we started dicovering the virus, my AV package found and deleted examples of the files which were described as "badtrans"-associated. Since then I have run the check with 2 current downladed check-files three times (including just this morning) and have come up clean. In the same timeframe on Wed as the virus action, I also happend to loose use of Outlook Express thus have not been able to send or receive normal email since then. I'm not sure if my loss of Outlook Express is virus-related or coincidental. I'll load a new version of Outlook today, and should then be able to see all messages recieved since Wed. However, I do have access to a second email source from my Earthlink start-up page which I normally do not use. Upon checking that inbox this morning, I had one message with an "RE:" subject that had mike stone's name on it with a date of Wed the 28th. I was able to delete it with out opening it (there's no preview window in that inbox as opposed to in Outlook Express), then came up clean again with the most current virus check.
