Go to my Journal web site. Click on Technical Support and then click on Wipers. I hope that will help with your '54 flatfender.

The M-37 is comparatively easy. The flat windshield will accept many "universal" mount electric wiper motors. The higher torque of the electric motors means the mounting lugs on either side of the shaft must be used. These are threaded to accept mounting screws. You will have to buy electric motors where the lugs line up with the motor shaft. Measure the width between the lug mounting screws and try to buy a motor that matches. It is always best if you don't have to drill additional holes. Just using a nut on the motor shaft will not work very well or very long.

An excellent source of electric wiper motors is marine supply such as West Marine or Boat US. Marine motors are waterproof and much more corrosion resistant than motors from J.C. Whitney that generally are not expected to be exposted to the elements.

E-mail me if you have any questions.
