I have a chance to buy back a PW that I had acouple years ago. It was an ex-fire truck. When they retired it, the fire co, put a flat bed on it. To do this, they cut off the frame behind the rear spring hangers and relocated the fuel tank. If I buy it back I would like to fix the frame and install a pickup box. Will a 2 wheel drive frame work? What years of truck will work for a frame donor? bed donor? Also the rear end gears have been changed, how hard is it to find gear sets for the 8 3/4 rear? Thanks in advance.
