my Cummins manual talks about installing a clear line, when trouble shooting, to look for air in the fuel supply.
When i dug a bit more I see some of these test systems are glass. Putting a clear line in and then taking it out once the problem is solved sounds like a pain. Also makes it difficult to trace problems. I see Alis Chamers has a pre filter with glass on the bottom and I see some of the glass inline filters are rated for diesel. I would be tempted to pop the filter out, keep the glass tube as a sight tube and run it all the time. Any one ever run one of these in their truck?
What issues did you run across?
