Hi Gary, I don't know how I would get the proper thickness needed if I just used silicone. We're talking about needing to control it to within 0.005" or so. It's so rubbery (siliconey?) that even if I let it dry before I torque up the bolts, it would squeeze down too much when I installed the bolts. I think I'll just go with the printer paper to add those last few thousandths. Hopefully that will get me where I need to be.
