My maternal grand dad was a jeweler, hand engraver, and watch maker. As a kid in the 1950s I'd sit at his bench and part out pocket watches for him. Some were cheap, like Elgins, others were jeweled with silver or gold cases and were special. Today I have a silver cased watch and my other grand dad's gold Hamilton in the safe depost box. Stu
