The panel was pretty bent up and cracked. I was able to clamp some straight metal bars & angles to it to force out the bends. Then I welded up the cracks in the panel.

Re-straightened the panel after the repair. Hammer and a brick.

Then I levered the panel off the frame where the shoddy brazing was and used a disk grinder to sneak in and grind away the brass.

After that, clamped everything back together and welded the panel back to the frame.

Cleaned up everything with little disk grinder.

Sounds so easy in text..

That took me ALL DAY and I wonder if it will even hold? I've not had a torch in my hand for around 35 years and I never was all that good with one. Welding that thin sheet metal to the steel tube frame was TOUGH!

Oh well, learning new skills every day!
